"I climb, slackline, walk, play midnight soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and get down to the boathouse for water sports now and then as well."

About Chris
Graduating Year: 2007
High School: Oakton
Hometown: Herndon, Virginia
Accolades/awards:
I received a Freeman Fellowship Grant with Professor John Schroeder, Claudia Peknik, Allison Mull, Erika Schuetz, and Sarah Posey to study engaged Buddhism in Thailand. I received the Alexander Fraser Memorial Fund Grant for the same purpose. I have been on the Dean's list a number of times.
A class everyone should take:
I think everyone at St. Mary's should take Foundations of Mathematics because it teaches you a methodology for problem-solving that is applicable in all fields of study and in the real world.
Favorite spot on campus:
My favorite spot on campus is not on campus at all, but in 'Nam, the series of inlets just north of campus that feed into the St. Mary's River.
Activities:
I climb, slackline, walk, play midnight soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and get down to the boathouse for water sports now and then as well.
Career Path:
My hope is that I shall never have a career that has anything to do with earning a salary, accumulating material wealth, having a boss, working indoors, or participating in the general machinery of the modern civilized world.
