About Nezia

Hometown: Burundi, East
Africa; now Baltimore, Maryland
Accolades/Awards:
I got different awards in high school, including the Presidential award.
A class everyone should take:
There is not a single class that I think everyone should take, but I do suggest that everyone find a class in a department that interests them and take it. For instance, I am really interested in music, so I took the piano lessons that I did not get a chance to take as a child.
Favorite spot on campus:
My favorite spot on campus is Church Point. I like the water and usually the wind is blowing, which helps me loose my stress about classes and other problems.
Activities:
Gospel Choir, The Concert Choir, The Judicial Board, Orientation Leading, MAPP Mentoring, The Dove Yearbook, and the club that I co-founded, The International Club.
Career Path:
I want to be a news anchor some day. However, before I do that, I would like to work with an international organization that works closely with refugees.
